These two different men with two different background and lives decided to share their skills and knowledge to serve and assist people in need, using boats as tools for action.<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 0cm; line-height: 100%;\">In order to carry on and go forward with the work they achieved, they created the NGO Watever, a pun\u00a0between\u00a0the words \u00ab\u00a0water\u00a0\u00bb and \u00ab\u00a0ever\u00a0\u00bb. The purpose of Watever is to assist populations in need living on the shores of oceans or major rivers. Watever provides\u00a0access to innovative and long term floating solutions\u00a0which are\u00a0locally adapted to the economic, social and climatic situations.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4 style=\"margin-bottom: 15px; text-align: justify;\">Yves Marre<\/h4>\n<hr \/>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 0.35cm; line-height: 100%;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/watever.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/12\/Yves-Marre.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\" wp-image-500 alignright\" src=\"http:\/\/watever.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/12\/Yves-Marre.png\" alt=\"Yves Marre\" width=\"131\" height=\"131\" srcset=\"http:\/\/watever.org\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/11\/2012\/12\/Yves-Marre.png 155w, http:\/\/watever.org\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/11\/2012\/12\/Yves-Marre-150x150.png 150w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 131px) 100vw, 131px\" \/><\/a><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Yves Marre sailed from France to Bangladesh in 1994, on a\u00a0large River Barge with the will to transform it into a\u00a0floating hospital in the country. Then, with his wife Run, he created the NGO Friendship, aimed to act for health and emergency aid. <\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 0.35cm; line-height: 100%;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">He is currently managing TaraTari Shipyard, based in Chittagong. His long experience in Bangladesh convinced him of the importance of surrounding himself with experts when designing Floating Solutions. This led him to meet Marc Van Peteghem.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 0.35cm; line-height: 100%;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">In 2012, Yves Marre was rewarded for his actions in Bangladesh for the last 20 years: he received the \u00ab\u00a0Prix du Rayonnement fran\u00e7ais humanitaire\u00a0\u00bb (a French award for his committed in humanitarian actions abroad).<\/span><\/p>\n<h4 style=\"margin-bottom: 15px; text-align: justify;\">Marc Van Peteghem<\/h4>\n<hr \/>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 0.35cm; line-height: 100%;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/watever.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/12\/Marc.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\" wp-image-501 alignright\" src=\"http:\/\/watever.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/12\/Marc.png\" alt=\"Marc\" width=\"140\" height=\"141\" srcset=\"http:\/\/watever.org\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/11\/2012\/12\/Marc.png 155w, http:\/\/watever.org\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/11\/2012\/12\/Marc-150x150.png 150w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 140px) 100vw, 140px\" \/><\/a><span style=\"color: #000000;\">With his partner Vincent Lauriot-Pr\u00e9vost, Marc Van Petegem is a world-recognized naval architect (VPLP). Famous as well for his luxury custom sailing yachts, his series production sailing catamarans (lagoon), or his multihull racing yachts, his numerous victories and world records speak for him.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 0.35cm; line-height: 100%;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">His humanistic nature and his will to share\u00a0his skills on\u00a0great projects led him to respond positively to Yves Marre&rsquo;s call.
